Our research underpins advances in biological R&D to address key national and global priorities including drug and antimicrobial discovery, cell and gene therapies, regenerative medicine and synthetic biology.

As part of a team of biologists, chemists and physicists, you will develop and apply state-of-the-art computational techniques for quantitative analysis of images of a range of biological systems from proteins to multicellular models. You will focus particularly on working with high resolution fluorescence images generated by super-resolution, light sheet and confocal microscopy platforms used within the group.

With a physical or engineering sciences related PhD or equivalent work experience, you have a solid background in optical microscopy, image analysis and scientific software development using MATLAB, Python, ImageJ or similar. Additional desirable skills and experience include working with biological samples and biophysical analysis techniques.
