The Imaging and Optics Facility of ISTA provides state-of-the-art fluorescence microscopy services, flow cytometry services, as well as custom image analysis and optical development services. The tasks for the student-job consist of assisting our team in performing quality control measurements for system performance monitoring of our high-end machine park:
Supervised training to be able to independently and accurately perform quality control measurements (e.g. recording of point spread function, flat-field and laser power measurements) on various state-of-the-art microscopy instrumentation
Routinely perform standard quality assessment and documentation of advanced microscope instrumentation, on weekly basis:Performing standardized quality measurement routines
Analysis of the recorded measurements
Documentation & reporting of the measurements results
