    Job Description

    The Center for Advanced Microscopy at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine in Chicago is seeking a Manager for their Nikon Imaging Center (NIC). The Manager's major responsibility will be the upkeep of current instrumentation and user support and training. They will teach light microscopy techniques in various workshops and courses. He/she will maintain close communications with Nikon Instruments and other NIC directors worldwide to operate the Center at the highest level of excellence. The Manager will be expected to participate in writing equipment grants and to stay knowledgeable regarding the latest developments in imaging technologies and applications.

    Applicants must have a PhD degree in a relevant discipline and extensive experience in imaging. Experience in a core facility is preferred but not required. Preference will be given to candidates with graduate and postdoctoral work in microscopy, image analysis and/or designing optical systems. Experience with grant writing, teaching and using Nikon instruments and software are also desirable. Rank and salary are commensurate with experience.
