    Job Description

You will undertake high-quality research in the field of Alzheimer’s Disease. The focus is on examining neural replay and related mechanisms in novel mouse models of Alzheimer’s Disease. The project is a close collaboration with laboratories at the UCL Max Planck Centre for Computational Psychiatry and Ageing Research (Prof. Ray Dolan), in the MRC Brain Dynamics Unit Oxford (Prof. David Dupret) and the UCL Dementia Research Centre (Prof. Nick Fox).

The project will involve recording neuronal activity using state-of-the-art electrophysiological methods (Neuropixels) and two-photon microscopy in combination with novel behavioural paradigms and linking pre-clinical outcomes to data and findings derived from human subjects and obtained by our collaborators.

This is an outstanding opportunity to work independently on a high impact, state-of-the-art, collaborative and cross-species project in a stimulating vibrant research environment.

The post is available from 01 July 2023 and funded by UK DRI at UCL for three years or until 30 June 2026, whichever is earlier, in the first instance.
