The University of Chicago Integrated Microscopy Facility (IMF) is a supervised, user-based Shared Resource providing state-of-the-art microscopy imaging capabilities to University investigators. The IMF offers widefield, confocal and lightsheet microscopy instrumentation, in addition to super-resolution technologies (e.g., stimulated emission depletion, PALM/STORM and structured illumination). The major objective of the IMF is to provide imaging expertise and instrumentation to advance investigator-driven basic and translational research at the University of Chicago.
This is your opportunity to join a busy and diverse academic light microscopy core facility. You will be responsible for training core users in the skills necessary to conduct their own imaging on a wide array of widefield, confocal and lightsheet instrumentation. You will also advise users in best practices in sample preparation, imaging and image processing. The Core serves researchers across the biological and physical sciences divisions of the University of Chicago, as well as researchers from the University of Chicago medical center.
