This forum’s focus is software-oriented aspects of scientific imaging, particularly (but not limited to) image analysis, processing, acquisition, storage, and management of digital scientific images. The primary objective is to foster independent learning 91 for everyone in the community.
Several open source software projects have pledged to use this forum as their recommended discussion channel; see the front page 201. Discussion of any software packages in the imaging ecosystem is equally welcome—the goal here is inclusivity. Our mission 37 is for people to be able to ask "how do I do X?" without prior knowledge of these various software programs. See the Guidelines 153 for further information.
