Description

This project is all about understanding, recognising and celebrating Imaging Scientists -- the incredible people behind the science of imaging.

We explore who Imaging Scientists are, their contribution to science and the opportunities and challenges they face day-to-day in using imaging to answer scientific questions.

When we started this project, we realised that we didn’t have a good way to refer to staff members who specialise in building and running imaging systems, training students and other scientists, and analysing imaging data.

So, we’ve used the term ‘Imaging Scientist’ to include all the different types of people and roles that contribute to world-class imaging and support cutting-edge science.

An Imaging Scientist makes a new super-advanced imaging technology work to the absolute limit of its potential. An Imaging Scientist makes discoveries with imaging possible.
